Unleash Your Potential: Create Your First Digital Product Now!

When creating your first digital product, I encourage you to work with what you've got. 

What do I mean by this?

It means you should be willing to package your knowledge, skills, passion, and experience into your first digital product now. 

You don't need any more certifications. 

You don't need to take any more courses. 

You don't need any more experience. 

If you know more about your subject now than you did five years ago, that's perfect. You know enough to help someone in your shoes back then (or even last year!). 

Does this mean you shouldn't continue to develop yourself, your knowledge, or your skills? 

Of course not. I believe we should all be lifelong students of our craft, and that's just the point. In any given subject, there's always more to learn, so if you wait until you know everything there is to know about your topic, you'll never be "ready" to teach someone else, and therefore, you'll never help anyone else either. 

Instead, trust who you are today with the experience, knowledge, and skills you have right now is enough to help those who are meant to be served by your digital product. 

Create something now, and you can continually improve upon it in the future if needed, or you can replace it with a more evolved product when the time comes. 

Either way, by creating something based on where you are now, you can start enjoying the benefits of selling digital products online and helping others with your product now. 

I also want to encourage you to start with what you've got to work with. 

If you want to create an online course with videos, don't wait until you have an expensive camera set up with professional lighting (and maybe a videographer to go along with it!). 

Instead, work with what you've got and create the course now. 

Most modern phones and tablets from the past few years (it doesn't have to be the latest model!!) have everything you need to produce simple, high-quality videos for your course. 

You can even use the free version of Zoom to record videos of yourself teaching on your computer.

I've sold over a million dollars with digital products I created with Canva and my iPhone. 

Even today, I prefer to keep my tech set up very basic because it's faster and easier for me to create that way. 

Trust me, you can make it work with what you've got right now. 

A third, perhaps often overlooked, reason for creating your first digital product NOW with where you are and what you have to work with right now is that you will benefit so much from simply going through the creation process.
